I meant “populist,” as in “appealing to the common people.” Health care reform certainly appeals to common people as opposed to the elite. But Obama also received more defense contractor contributions than McCain, so we’ll stay in war, no matter what he says. He’s being paid to keep us in war, as he’s being paid to represent corporate interests. Anyone wonder why Clinton signed NAFTA? Or why Hillary changed her tune re: health care? Corporate money.
